Prepping For Autocross
Before you arrive at the event make sure your car is ready for action. An autocross event moves quickly and there is little time for mechanical preparation during the day.
Your car needs to be “right on” with only minor tire pressure, shock and alignment changes needing to be made. Basically a few psi up or down, a few clicks on adjustable shocks or a small front toe change are all you will have time to do. Funny enough, the real improvement in time comes from the driver.
Smoother throttle, brake, and steering application and looking farther ahead will usually gain you a more time than wrenching on your car.
