Monthly FeaturesAmerica's Most Beautiful
Throughout the year there are many prestigious awards earned by participants of Goodguys events. While some of these are designed to showcase a car’s mechanical prowess, such as the hard driving Hot Rod of the Year or the Street Machine of the Year in Columbus with it’s required Autocross laps, others are based upon sheer looks alone. One such category is the Street Rod d’Elegance in Del Mar. Another is a time-honored Northern California tradition: America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod, presented by Flowmaster. As the name implies, it is nothing more than a pure beauty contest. This year’s field was as impressive as ever, and the finalists ran the gamut from Pro-Built to Homebuilt, with everything in between. In the end, Harold Wiley’s elegantly two-toned 1939 Buick Special took the honors, marking the first time a four door has won the America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod crown.

Bead Roll
2011 marked a decade of Goodguys fun in Spokane , Washington with the 10th Great Northwest Nationals. The wonderful Spokane County Fair and Expo Center staff presented Goodguys with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a special plaque to commemorate the achievement.
Twenty-five years is a long time. That is a quarter of a century, and that is also how long Goodguys has been hosting the West Coast Nationals. In that span of time, hot rodding has ebbed and flowed through the trends and people.
